Hi, can anyone tell me if there was a private school called Thorfynn House in Thurso be around 1885-1890. Thanx.

Yes it was on Janet Street. I searched the British Newspaper Archive website and there are a number of mentions. I found an advert in the John O'Groat Journal 1884:

Thorfynn House
Boarding & Day School for Young Ladies conducted by Mrs and The Misses Russell.

Also spotted it up for sale in 1889.
