Never try to eat anything bigger than your head.

Never sleep with anyone noticeably crazier than yourself.

Avoid all products of the Chrysler Corporation (pretty easy if you don't live in N America).

I dont know about tips but the best lessons i have learned over the years are as follows

1. You dont die from a broken heart

2. love DOESNT conquer all

3. Only ever treat people the way you would want to be treated

4. What goes around comes around so dont waste your time in brooding over something bad someone did to you - they will get theirs.

Some of my faourites from one of my favourites, 10 brownie points if someone knows who said them ;)

"As soon as you concern yourself with the 'good' and the 'bad' in others, you create an opening in your heart for maliciousness to enter. Testing, competing with, and critisizing others weakens and defeats you."

"Failure is the key to success, every mistake teaches us something"

"To injure your opponent is to injure yourself, to control aggression without inflicting injury is the art of peace"

I like em anyway :Razz

Some good ones, from my parents and grandparents:

Look before you leap.

Don't count your chickens before they're hatched.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Don't live beyond your means.

Act in haste, repent at leisure.

Do unto others as you would unto yourself.

And my favourite one, from my grandmother:

Whilst sitting in court on another matter, was listening to the domestic cases. Sheriff Ewen Stewart went ballistic over a divorce case , 'Can they not sort this out before it gets here', he bellowed.

I did when it came to my one

It cost me £47 and that was only because my solicitor had to send a letter to hers confirming arrangements!

Nana always used to say take your jacket off in the house cos you won't feel the benefit when you go out. I cant even sit in the car with a jacket on nowadays

She also said don't knock it till you try it - she was talking about tripe (yeuk) at the time, but boy does that one give you a lot of leeway
