It may be a good thing if it is true. A lot of these hotel chains have special deals to regular customers, like a club thing if you like. If they see that there is a hotel in Caithness then they may come to the area when they may not have done if the portland was locally owned. It is just the way things are these days.

The posrtland arms has been sold to the swallow group it all happened over a month ago now.
