My granddaughter saw the dentist today at Pulteney School. She is quite toothfriendly and was very surprised when the dentist told her the front teeth were nearly "see through" because she ate too much fruit!!!! - she was of the same opinion as me - I thought fruit was good for you!!!

it is very good for you. but fruit contains natural sugar and acids.

after eating fruit you should not brush your teeth for 30 mins otherwise you may be brushing some of the enamel away.
same with fruit juices.

but i think i would rather have probs with my teeth from eating fruit than sweets etc..

eating a small cube of cheese after fruit can help neutralise the fruit acids its not a substitute for brushing your teeth though! ps its best to brush your teeth before breakfast instead of after if you drink fruit juice!
