Diana Dors

I grew up on a diet of Morecombe and Wise, Alf Garnet, and Diana Dors to name a few.
You think you get to know these people by what the press and media have to say about them at the time, but I had a catch up on a two part story about the life of Diana Dors and it changed my perception of her entirely.
If the story about her was more accurate than my earlier perception then she has gone up in my estimation considerably long after her death.

Sadly she was too often cast as the dumb blonde and her very curvaceous body did n't help either. She was a far better actress than she was given credit for.
I'm now racking my brains am sure she starred in a film with a very young Barbara Windsor.

Not sure about Barbara Windsor, but I'm keen to see the film she made about Ruth Ellis on death row, it was supposed to be a very different side to her acting skills.
