No Trains ,No Buses , No cars as petrol and diesel prices climbs daily . Is it a case that we'll all have to get on the longest push bike in history or is it a case for dusting off the old grey fergie with a trailer to get the people to Inverness . What's happening with Public transport or should it be " the lack off Public transport" all this and not a squeak from Councillors. Santa will be crapping himself that he may well be Sledge jacked by folk trying to get home for Xmas. This may well be Pantomime season but this is NO joke.

Whilst it is true that public transport is not the best in Caithness, it is untrue to say that there are no trains or buses.
The gap in fuel between Caithness and the South is narrower now than it used to be and there is also the alternative choice of hybrid or electric cars for cheaper ongoing running costs.
A litre of diesel is still over 30p cheaper than is was at the height of the oil price hikes.

Having said that, if we all did get on our bicycles then we would all be much healthier, fitter and happier.....but most likely late for meetings etc

I couldn't agree more. What do the Councillors care anyway? We pay their wages, they car share to meetings and claim individual expenses. But that's another story. Yes, public transport is absolutely shocking.
