Spar are hardly arriving, they were in Caithness over 30 years ago. There was a wee grocers shop on Bridge St in Week that used to be Lipton's and then became a Spar. The owner or manager was called Archie, so the shop used to be known as "Archie Spar's".

Liptons was also in thurso were they not before the prestos in the precinct?

Was Spar not in Thurso as well where the little co-op is in spring park so really bandite it is nothing new!!!

There's also a Spar in Dunbeath

The shop at the end of Willowbank in Wick became Spar after David Lewis retired. It's no been Spar for a few years now though it's owner by Ali Davis
