The compere needs to get his facts right first. A wee village called Gullospie, just south of Inverness?

Aye but who cares what the compere says, how he said Golspie, where he said it is, how many years he said the band have won 'Best British Band' - Geordie Jack carried it off very well, why be petty and pedantic - Geordie Jack being inducted into the British Country Music Association (BCMA) "Hall of Fame". London, 30th October 2016

Never heard of him. Is he one of those guys who puts on a pretend American accident and sings about his wife leaving home and his dog coming back ?

Onespace

Perhaps you have not heard of him but obviously many other people have, that is how he was inducted into the British Country Music Association Hall of Fame - perhaps has done and been part of more than you can ever imagine and is being recognised by this award for his part in the music industry.

Please let us know what your acheivements have been, obviously not a large enough accident!!!

A fan base of 60-somethings line-dancing spinsters no doubt.

You surely can its think that it is not an achievement, regardless of your taste in music

Not really - that demographic would latch on to any soulless nonesense. Though l'd be thoroughly impressed if he got them to do something else with their thumbs that hook them through their belt loops. Yee Ha!

except that statement is simply a falsehood
i hate country music (almost passionately) but can still Appreciate a decent muscician even if the genre is dross
Id imagine a country fan would not listen to terrible signers or musicians

geordie jack could fairly fill a dancefloor

Geordie Jack and Colorado were versatile. They did a very good "Glad All Over," for one thing!

But if music's your job, you've got to do music that someone will pay for.
