Satellite Broadband

I’d be grateful for peoples’ opinions and or experiences of Satellite Broadband along the north coast of Caithness. I know Avanti and Tooway are available and would very much appreciate people’s experiences.
At the moment I’m fed up with BT and their monopoly of landlines and their abysmal customer interactions, :confused.

It is rather expensive though, just change your Phone supplier as well as Broadband. Go to Plusnet, SKY etc etc.

Tooway starts at £19.90 per month, that is a bit more affordable.

There can be very high lag on satellite bb its fine for everyday use but not for gaming .

broadband satellite is ok for the remote areas but price, allowance and connectivity are all issues that currently make it not worth bothering about. Vodafone have a broadband deal with no line rental cost, unlimited allowance and a decent monthly cost at the moment. you need to be a vodafone mobile customer though but £10 a month on a pay as you go mobile would cover it and still be cheaper than the main providers
