We've been given a couple of pip grown apple trees (Pink lady) and a couple of pip grown pear trees (Sweet William) does anyone know what the chance of these trees fruiting is?
I know there isn't going to be much chance of them coming true to the parent plant as there's no way of knowing what pollinated the parent plant but how long do you generally have to wait to see if they're even going to produce anything?
Does anyone have much success in growing fruit trees way up here beside the sea? Especially with these winds.
Finally does anyone know how to go about growing from a pip? Think I'd like to give it a go just to see if I can do it.
