what's happing to the cladding on the council offices in wick, is it being replaced or will we have to live with this eyesore for ever?

I understood it was to be replaced - not that it will look much better as it's a hideous design. The Council don't seem very competent when it comes to building contracts as the schools also have problems. Personally wish they had maintained the old High School and left the library and swimming pool as they were - all more attractive than the new building.

The council has applied for planning permission to repair cladding. This makes me laugh as how can you apply for something to yourself? I sure hope they don't turn it down. Knowing our useless councillors they probably will on the basis the offices are now in keeping with the rest of the town. Run down and drab. ����
