Any Ideas what the military ship that has gone east through the firth ust now is? I think it had an American flag flying and a large number 58 on the side bu the way I shale when holding binoculars it may only have been a rowing boat.

Hey Stratman,
try this site (http://www.aisliverpool.org.uk/showship.php?refresh=5&count=1&map=-1&mmsi=232003526),it's not always live but shows you all the vessels travelling the firth, so if you see one try it, if it is live then you will see the name, IMO number, destination etc

Thanks Tugmistress

That looks extremely interesting. I until recently lived in the Lakedistrict overlooking the Irish sea and was excited seeing the IOM ferry, which was abut the only thing I'd see. But the firth is much richer pickings. Thanks.
