The British Library is starting a collection of emails as a record for the future since that so few people now use snailmail for letters. It is a bit sad that future generations won't be able to read the letters of the past with all the stories they held as there simply won't be any. I have all the letters my parents wrote to each over their one-year courtship and they're fascinating but email courtships will disappear into the ether. Made me think what an interesting picture of Caithness this forum would be if it could be preserved for 100 years. Wonder what they'd think of us?
