Hi Folkies,

Thinking of installing double glazing over the next few months.

Can anybody recommend an installer, or not as the case may be?

If you like windows to be draughty Cairngorm Windows is the company to go for.

I would NOT recommend C R Smith - in my mind they are a bunch of cowboys!! We had 15 windows and two doors replaced a year ago last February and we've had nothing but leaking, draughty windows since. They also damaged tiling and decoration (there is a big hole in the wall in our hallway) they have completely ignored my letters of complaint.

I wouldn't like to think that anybody would end up in the same position.

We had windows from C R Smith a year or so back. No problems. Good windows, well installed and they did it when they said they would!

Glad your installation was a success r.rackstraw - I daresay, as with everything, it's the luck you have on the day - your's was in and mine had gone walk about!!
