Thanks for welcome davidann118, but I have not moved in yet! LIZZ do you mind if I ask whether you have seen a huge difference from pre fibre days.

Hi LIZZ,

I'm at the east end of the village Norma and it definitely is here.

You are right Norma. A friend in Reay had an invitation from BT today inviting we to join BT Infinity for £10.00 per month. He pays £14.80 per month just now for normal internet connection. When he called he was told it was not available for his number. He was livid. "Imagine someone (Libby Barr, Managing Director, Customer Care) sending such an invitation to a long standing customer. Customer care does not exist at BT. However they remembered me last month when I was a few dates late in paying my bill" Needles to say he lives in West End not in more privileged East like LIZZ. Can anyone advise if there is an equality campaign being run. Replies please when this post reaches West End Reay.

Customer care does not exist at BT.

I agree with that. I've had a fault with our line for months, an intermittent crackle that keeps knocking off the wi-fi to another service and at times it is impossible to hear the other person during a call. Not good. We've made numerous attempts to call BT who remotely test the line and insists there is nothing wrong. We've had an engineer out twice who have detected a 'heavy earth' on the line and they have registered a fault. But they have told us because the fault is in a remote area, low profit making area then it will be low priority, so then our best option is to keep complaining until they get sick of the complaints. I'm still waiting. It is a joke.

Just been informed that some parts of Reay are not getting broadband because of the costs of replacing a junction box.

If no joy with BT contact the Ombudsman for communications - incredible what happens when they become involved. Fill the initial form on line then you will get a call to ensure all the information is correct and then they make there decision and then they say how long they have to fix the problem and BT will be out within the next day usualy.
