Accused alleged to have punched and kicked woman
FOUR Caithness accused are facing a charge of serious assault.
Appearing from custody at Wick Sheriff Court today were Melanie Munro, 30, and George Harper, 33, both of 40 Nicolson Street, Wick, Simon Hindmarch, 28, of 33 Achingale Place, Watten, and Natasha McPhee, 23, of 10 Bremner's Walk, Wick.
All four denied assaulting Cheriee Shepherd by punching and kicking her and repeatedly striking her on her head and body with sticks and baseball bats or similar items to, her injury. The incident is said to have occurred in Nicolson Street, on Sunday.
The quartet were granted bail and will return to court for their trial on June 7. They are meantime subject to a curfew.
