I had an arranged visit by the fire brigade to assess the fire safety of my home. There was good advice given throughout and more than I thought was pointed out as a risk.
The two fire officers gave us 2 free smoke alarms to place in our home.
I recommend you contact your local fire station for a visit to get your home safer....... and your free alarms!
