Looking for new challenges and gaining new skills in the New Year and are interested in working or volunteering in the care sector?
Pulteney Town People’s Project will be running a FREE courses starting in January 2016 This course is aimed at individuals looking to work or volunteer in the care sector. Learners will cover range of relevant topics that will provide them with the knowledge to give them a head start in the field of care:
Person centered approach to care
Prevention and control of infection
Awareness of Mental Health
Autism/ADHD Awareness
Principles of Dementia Care
Equality and Diversity
The course will be tutor led, using a mixture of online, paper based and face to face teaching resources. The course will be delivered over 10 weeks. All materials will be provided. Learners will have the opportunity to attend the center on two other mornings - Fridays and Tuesdays to study and complete online courses with tutor available for assistance. Learners will achieve certificates for each of the subjects they complete.
Learners will be entitled to and childcare
Course start date: 21st January 2016
