Not sure if Wick hospital one is open you can phone them to see. If not and your script is urgent I think you can phone the pharmacist up and they will come out through NHS24.

CGH hospital pharmacy cannot dispense community prescriptions. They only dispense prescriptions generated within the hospital itself. If you have run out of medication then its NHS 24, if its to buy something which isn't stocked by Tesco, Superdrug, then you are looking at having to wait until the start of the week. There used t be an on call community pharmacist at all times however this could have changed again this is only for emergency.

There is an emergency on call pharmacist ...but only for emergencies ...the hospital/dentist will call for them if needed.
Then you traipse round at the specified time and get the prescription (cannot get anything else such as otc painkillers) on a Sunday.
Then a trip to Tescos for painkillers ....by which time 2-3hours have passed...

Thank you everyone for your replies. Issue was over concern for 3 month infant, but was quickly resolved. Calm has returned to the household and its visitors.
