A CAITHNESS firm is to recruit five extra staff after winning contracts worth over £500,000. Reids of Caithness will take on three staff immediately and two others at the beginning of next year after securing the contracts from travel and leisure companies.

A THURSO dental practice has won a top national award for the second year in a row. The Bridgend Dental Centre business manager, Shona Grant, took the trophy as the most invaluable dental team member of any dental practice in Scotland.

IF Wick Academy win the North of Scotland Cup will will be because of the hard work and dedication of everyone who has been involved in the club since it joined the Highland League in 1994. So said manager Gordon Connelly as he prepares to lead his team into the final against Nairn County at Dudgeon Park, in Brora, tomorrow. If they do it, the players and management will forever be remembered as the first team from Caithness to lift silverware at senior level.
