MORE than £2.5 million was spent on agency staff by Highland Council last year as it attempted to plug gaps in its workforce. Figures seen by the Caithness Courier reveal the bill for 20/15 was £2,582,339.

MEMBERS and supporters of Thurso's Boys Brigade unit turned out in force at the weekend as the wraps were taken off its newly refurbished base.
