just wondering, whats the song that makes you feel human, that song that lifts you off your feet and makes you feel proud to be alive, or the song that makes you feel flawed and frail, a reminder that we are not perfect but its okay, its in our nature.

would have to say nine inch nails hurt and the johnny cash version.

That's a tough question - where to start ?

This is one of the most stirring pieces I've found over the years, makes me ponder on mankinds' future potential....

It's more or less the theme for Season 3 of Babylon 5, written and performed by Chris Franke

(main site where these samples are:

)

One I've just come across on my hard disk which always makes me a little wistful and teary-eyed is something that no-one here has probably heard of (I'm Taurus, born awkward), le chanson des vieux amants - Jacques Brel (The song about the old lovers). It's dreamy and melancholy and Brel's rather Sinatra-like voice floats over the meandering piano. Makes me imagine an elderly couple walking arm in arm along a seafront with the sprightly old man suddenly springing a sneaky kiss on his lady and her having a gentle smile. There's a girl (with a beard !!???!) singing it passaby well here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u76uOZMoY5A

Probably one that can sometimes remind me of how vulnerable we are is Fragile by Sting, which you can watch and listen here:

'Wild Angels' by Smokie. Just a cool song, and group.
'Angels' by Sarah Mclachlan makes me feel both happy and sad at the same time.
'Lovely day' (can't remember singers name) reminds me of teenage years getting ready to go the local miners welfare disco and boogying round the handbags. :lol:

In answer to your first question, K dragon, I'd say "Feeling Good" and "Come Fly With Me", both sung by Michael Buble. Also "Walking On Sunshine" by Katrina And The Waves.

In answer to the second, "Home" by Michael Buble, "Jesus To A Child" by George Michael, and "The Flame" by Cheap Trick.
