"I personally don't use the bus (though have at times in the past) but I do appreciate it being there "just in case".

Logic dictates to me that if one has to be cut then it would make more sense to keep the later one...
Better to have to wait an extra hour than to miss the last bus."

Thanks for posting this. I use this service every 4-6 weeks and if Glasgow bus is late arriving we have always had the 17.40 to fall back om.
