Hi everyone
Here is another ancestor of interest that has a Caithness connection - I think.
James Munro was the son of Alexander Munro and Barbara MacKay and was born in 1796 in Armadal, Sutherladshire. He married Elizabeth McIntyre - and this is the Caithness connection comes in - at the Manse in Thurso in Aug 1816. My records show only two children so far Catherine and John born in 1817 and 1819 in Armadale.
Any ideas why a James and Catherine were married in Thurso?
Would it be because Thurso is Catherine's home parish?
Has anyone come across a James Munro and Catherine McIntyre in their own research?
Best regards
Bill
