Intermediate Food Hygiene course available at North Highland College UHI, Thurso campus.
Aimed at supervisors, this course provides an understanding of the relationship between food hygiene, food poisoning and food spoilage in addition to the
socio-economic costs of poor food hygiene. The course can be offered on your premises.
Course content:
Personal hygiene
Bacterial food poisoning
Food contamination and its prevention
Prevention of cross contamination
Pest Control
Correct temperature control
Maintenance of food premises and equipment
Handling and distribution
Food hygiene legislation
Four day course, held over two consecutive Tuesdays and Wednesdays – exam on last day.
