I saw the link to the data for times to see the space station flying over head and lo and behold it popped up on time right where it said it would at 9:45 pm tonite.
It looked like a star only a bit lower down and traveled from South West to South East and was easy to follow with the naked eye so it would be interesting to see if anybody else saw it .

If you want to know when to see satellites and other (natural) heavenly objects have a look here http://www.heavens-above.com/. You are best to register (free) and if you enter your location you will know sunrise/set, moon cycles etc. Just the place for geeks and everyone else as well.

I think I saw it in Orkney around 9.10pm whilst collecting his lordship from the pub. Good to see the post because I was thinking it was awfully bright, even for venus and am too ignorant to know whether I should have been seeing venus there and then anyway!
