Get involved with Shinty Coaching

The Camanachd Association (the governing body for shinty) are running a foundation level coaching course I'm Thurso on Sunday 21st June and it is open to anybody wishing to get involved in developing this community sport in Caithness.The aim is to train up some coaches to assist coaching children and young adults in schools around Caithness . Sunday 21st June 2015 . Theory: 09.30am to 12.30pm? Practical: 1.00pm to 4.00pm . .The course will be delivered by Camanachd Association Tutors. The cost of the course will be £30 and each candidate will receive resource booklets and copies of the rules of shinty.

Excellent to see Shinty being promoted in the area. Thrumster Primary has just been awarded a grant from Windfarm benefit monies to buy all the equipment needed for the children to participate in Shinty. They have been having after school sessions for a while now and the kids thoroughly enjoy it. I hope a few more schools take this sport up.......we can have matches then.
