:( Sad to see the index store in Inverness is closing down with clearance offers and a "For Sale" sign up. Noticed a lot of shops have closed in Inverness, including a whole row. at the bus station the huge "what everyone wants"building has been demolished and new flats built there costing over £250,000 each, unbelievable price, they have no views and just look into neighbours windows. A lot of shops have closed down and are sitting empty, so it is not just Wick that has empty shops.

Seems to be the same all over the UK, town centres lose trade to out of town superstores and for a few years shops stand empty. Redevelpoment turns the town centre into a more residential area allowing more specialised businesses to prosper where previously they would not have been able to find suitable premises or market.

Hasn't Index just been bought by Argos?
