Has Any One Had a Call Like This ?

Today my wife had a phone call from someone she cant remember the firm he claimed to be from or his name only that he had a south Scotland accent. He asked her if she was bothered by pest calls. He claimed he could stop these calls for a fee of £1 20 per month payable by direct debt. He then asked for bank details and she laid the phone down. I doubt if this could be genuine and has any one else had a call like this.

Heard a few people are getting calls like this and asking for up to £8 for the "service."

At least one of them reported to the Police and they are dealing with it. Seems it's a con.

Worth remembering - You should never give your bank details over the phone to a stranger.

I am registered with them but I still get them.

Yup, had this one as well as the chap from the fraud department. And a multitude of hang up calls from international numbers. Poor pets are suffering from jangling nerves with phone ringing.
