Disappointed to hear this, do you think if we all enquire at the cinema they may change their mind.......? we have all been looking forward to seeing this film, in this household, and I know lots of people who feel the same. :( Hope they change their mind ....................

Big time. The reviews have been just phenomenal. Can't believe they aren't showing Mad Max and still haven't shown (and presumably won't by this point) Avengers: AoU.

sorry, but for you to think that your own opinion would disappoint folk was pretty funny

Thanks for the heads up Billy. I'll score this one off my list.

but for Fender here to blindly join you without even forming his or her own opinion was hilarious (Fender, i'd love to see 'your list')

I was really disappointed that avengers2 hasn't been shown up here yet. I hope to god this doesn't happen with star wars at Christmas and they pull out all the stops to get it.I think I read somewhere that disney were looking for 53% of the ticket price for avengers so if this is true in can understand why they would think twice about bringing up on release. Maybe as the weeks go by it may make it up for the kids club.was never a fan of the original mad max so not too fussed about the new one.On the other hand im just grateful we have a cinema close to hand that still shows a lot of good films. And with only 2 screens it will be difficult to have every film available

Each to their own, I saw Mad Max last week and I personally am gutted that I wasted my money on what I can only describe as crap, maybe their are some folks out there who might think its great, but being a fan of the previous Mad Max films this one doesn't come close to being in the same category

Thurso Cinema has been very poor recently in my opinion. Hardly anything worthwhile seeing this year for the 18 -30 age group, missing the target market.

Just watched it last night and i must say i wasn't impressed. I think there was too much emphasis on stunts and modified vehicles to "fit" the film which just looked plain stupid. The sounds of tyres skidding on sand was laughable too. Not recommended. As for Thurso cinemahaha.....that's another story.

While I've been really annoyed at some of the film selection at Thurso Cinema over the past wee while (see earlier in this thread), the fact we have a cinema at all is amazing. Not only that but it's a decent wee cinema with excellent screens and projectors (even if they are constantly out of focus). The fact that you can also go see a movie for under £7 is insane. I stayed in Aberdeen for a while up until three years ago and even then you'd be hard pushed to get a seat for under a tenner.

So aye, Thurso Cinema is a long way from perfect but it's a helluva lot better than nowt.

Agreed, bit annoyed that Mad Max and Avengers isn't showing in Thurso Cinema.

Even if they only had it on for a few days - it's got to be better than Spooks!

Musn't grumble tho, I do like the place!

totally agree, were loyal supporters of the cinema and take our kids to just about every film that comes out for them, but then finally a film comes along for their dad and it's not being shown.

i know they can't show every film coming out, but to miss Avengers, Mad Max and San Andreas is pretty disappointing

i've since been to inverness to watch it, but if thurso cinema does eventually get it, i'd still watch it a few more times - it was the mutts nuts :Razz (IMHO)

A cinema that doesn't promptly show popular films will close.

Again.
