Taking off an Asbestos Roof.

Does anyone know of a good local supplier of bags to accomodate asbestos corrugated roof sheeting so it can be disposed of as special waste? Thanks in advance. :)

If it is 'asbestos' and not a cement base corrugated sheeting then it is supposed to be removed by a licenced person/company. Then it is removed from site and incinerated somewhere near Perth...but for those who these rules do not apply to... keep it wet as it keeps the dust down as it is the dust that is the harmful bit... just ask for builders rubble bags from builders merchants.

If it is Asbestos then it can not be reused as it became illegal to use Asbestos in buildings after 1999 in the UK

Thanks scorpion. Current regulations allow for unlicensed maintenance of asbestos roofs and that may be the case if ron wants a spare sheet to repair storm damage. Ron is not installing a new asbestos roof.
