In Inverness on Monday and needs a specialist part for a Husky chainsaw. Tiny wee spring, could have had it shipped from the USA for a tenner, but thought collection from main dealer would be the best option....................WRONG..
Stock was due in Wednesday and it would be posted first class the same day. Paid extra for this service, but still cheaper than the USA option and quicker too....................WRONG
Phoned this afternoon to be told the stock had arrived, was put in stamped envelope and the chap could read out the address from said envelope because................."The lady who puts mail in the box has been off sick". I foolishly asked if it would be posted on Monday.........only if she is back.
What a way to run a business. I thought Caithness time was laid back, but this takes the biscuit.
I am almost tempted to order one from USA and see which one arrives first!
On a happier note a battery ordered from Yorkshire on Wednesday to be delivered by courier (sigh and expect to wait a week) arrived this morning with AJG. Excellent first class service.
