As the forum is so active with discussion on such things as the problems within the local hospital and problems that lay within
also the up and coming general election.
Maybe some of our more illustrious posters would care to explain away the underspend of £444 million by the SNP the party of inequality

That sum could of paid for the bedroom tax issues
That sum could of ended the requirement for food banks in Scotland
That sum could resolve some of the NHS Scotland problems

Instead it just sat there unused whilst the people of this country suffered.
How to SNP supporters explain away such chronic mismanagement of fund allocated to Scotland from the party which blames Westminster for all the financial problems in Scotland

Over its two Holyrood Administrations from 1999, Labour had managed to underspend the Scottish Block Grant to the collective tune of £1.5 billion - money which was returned to the treasury at Westminster because, incredibly, Donald Dewar, Henry McLeish and Jack McConnel just could not think of anything to spend it on.

And the attempted smear begins. Well done, encore....

You do realise Scots are a wee bit different to those South of the border. Havent you ever heard the expression "Canny" afore?
We have an Education system thats the envy of those South of the border,
Our NHS is also the envy of them,
Food banks are ONLY here due to Tory Austerity measures....

Ditch that stupid Trident scheme and we can save even more for a rainy day. We dont have an oil fund after all, yer lot made sure of that.

So it would seem that the underspend is actually £145 Million (0.5% of The Scottish Budget) and not £444 Million as stated. The Scottish Government only has access to the £145 Million and from the first ministers comments today it would seem that had all already been earmarked for public services within this financial year.

Again I am glad that the Scottish Government held money back in case of emergency and also glad that because they have some money left they are putting it into public services within Scotland.

I did indeed see that the statement made about the SNP led government was basically lies as usual.
Thanks for putting folk right that may otherwise believe these barefaced lies.

The SNP quite simply looks after ALL Scots. This isnt the Referendum any more. Its about different things now, and Scotland should now come together in glorious union (lol) and allow the SNP to stand up for ALL our rights.

You do realise of course that the Scottish government is not free to spend the block grant as it wishes and is subject to directives from Westminster.
