Businessman accused of recruiting staff not entitled to work in UK
A BUSINESSMAN is facing charges of contravening immigration laws by employing people illegally, in his restaurants in Wick and Elgin.
Mohammed Shahed Hossain made no plea or declaration when he made a brief appearance in private at Wick Sheriff Court, today.
The 28-year-old from Elgin is accused of employing staff who were not entitled to work in the UK. The offences are said to have occcured at Elgin on October 3, last year and between May 2013 and April 2014, at Wick.
Hossain was released on bail by Sheriff Andrew Berry pending further inquiry.
