Ft. William man also accused of assault and possession of drugs
A MIDDLE-AGED Fort William man is facing a charge of abduction among other allegations.
Russell John Stevenson made no plea or declaration when he appeared from custody on petition at Wick Sheriff Court today.
The 56-year-old was released on bail by Honorary Sheriff Farquhar Macgregor after the brief, private, appearance - pending further inquiry.
In addition to the alleged abduction of a woman, Stevenson is accused of assault and possession of a Class B drug.
The offences are said to have occurred in the Dunbeath area, between June 1 and Boxing Day.
