This topic came up before. I am not sure if any of the suggestions are still going - see http://forum.caithness.org/archive/index.php/t-187630.html?

I also have couple of bags of tops that we have been collecting over the past couple of years rather than throw them out to landfill and in the hope someone comes up with a use for them. There are many pages via google suggesting uses and art projects.

I wonder how many others are collecting them rather than have them end in landfill.

I think the problem is that they are not the same type of plastic of the container they are used with and cannot easily be recycled. On one web site I see they are emphasising that the phrase Reduce, Reuse, Recycle puts recycle at the end and we should think of the other two words. Also that we may reuse some plastic but at each recycle it degrades and will eventually still end up in landfill.

There are many web site with suggestions. Here is one I found - http://www.boredpanda.com/plastic-bottle-recycling-ideas/

I have a friend who was collecting for another friend who collects for charity. Will ask if she's still doing it as I also have a bag full now.

Just heard no longer collecting - sorry!

Ask your local primary school if they want them for Xmas crafts. Saw a very effective Xmas tree collage made with green ones and some other colours for baubles.
