For any orgers with SSE for their gas/electricity who have fixed price contracts finishing in December 2014 there are letters following to offer fixed prices until March 2017. Before I committed to signing up I phoned them and asked if continuing the fixed price for longer was my best option only to find that my changing to their new BASIC tariff I am going to be better off by £25 a month for paperless dual fuel by direct debit.
Just wanted to let you know this is available as it seems to be a well kept secret.
If you do decide to change leave it until the week before your current contract expires so they can not hit you with an early termination fee.
