Looks like you all had a great day. What a wonderful thing to do. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the hard work, even in the cold conditions.

Keep up the good work. You are all a credit to the community.

Thank you

What a wonderful thing to do! Getting the children involved in their own enviroment. Maybe we should all do something like this in our immediate neighbourhood!

As secretary of Milton Residents Association can I just say a big thank-you to all the people who turned up on Sunday to help us with our "Safer Play" Project (see Tuesday's article on the homepage). In all we had 36 volunteers from the age of 2 to 93. We might be a small village but we've got a huge community spirit. A special thank-you goes to Robin who acted as photographer as well as helping out with the hard work on the day which just so happened to be his birthday.

I passed by Milton on Sunday and saw all of the activity, I didn't know what was going on at the time but I remarked to my husband 'what a wonderful community spirit you seem to have there. I've passed every day since (up and down to the hospital at the moment) and I must say that the gardens are looking a treat! I love the wooden 'bird tables' (is that what they are?) whatever, it is all so pretty.
You had a wonderful show at Christmas time too, it was obvious then that you had all worked together.
I always look with fond memories when I pass Milton - I spent many a happy holiday there 40 odd years ago now!!

Well done all of you :D
