Help with Photos

Can anyone help with the photos as to what was the event, when it was (roughly) and where. We think we have the where but just wanted to ask the orgers what they think? Thanks in advance :)

These are the Wick Carters in procession through Argyle Square, probably a Lifeboat Day Procession in the very early 20th Century

This is a link to the same image, which is clearer than the one you have posted. It states that the photo was from 1900-1909 and, as said earlier, is the local Carters parading. The Wick Carters had the motto "Our Independence and Freedom"
