Tried to obtain more tablets than amount prescribed court told
A YOUNG Thurso woman, who attempted to obtain drugs by deception, has been given a chance by a sheriff.
Emma Farquhar's attempt at altering a prescription to get more tablets than she was entitled to, were described as "childish" and "amateurish", at Wick Sheriff Court.
Farquhar, 25, of 12 Langland Court, Thurso admitted trying to pass off the prescription as genuine, to a local chemist, on March 25. The alteration was a giveaway as the increase in strength for the partciular pill exceeded the maximum dose.
The accused, said to be addressing a number of issues in her life, was given six months in which to demonstrate she can behave.
