was just readign the PC police thread.. and it brought to mind a joke my preacher told us years and years and years ago.. (god im getting old!)
it was about a young man who went off to bible seminary..
now he was just a simple southern preacher.. working his way up the ladder to be a good southern preacher .. *grins*
anyway.. this very staid lecturer, was going on about the red sea.. where moses parted it.. and led all the people thru..
now the guy was getting quite snide.. saying that the bible was wrong and that it was misinterpreted..
that it wasnt the red sea but in fact a reed sea.. which was only a sea of reeds with only a couple foot of water.. so all moses had todo was take a sowrd and cut down the reeds..
well the young southern preacher jumps up and starts shouting halleluia.. praise the lord!
the lecturer looks at him.. enraged.. what do you mean.. i just told you the miricle was nothing.. that there was no parting of the red sea it was just a bunch of reeds in a couple feet of water!
the young man smiles and says.. yeah but it took some miracle to drown pharo's army in a couple ft of water!!!
