Can anyone give me any more information on what is happening in Thurso when the baton is here? I know there is some sort of come and try of various sports being organised at Millbank. Does anyone know the time of this? I have been told (could be wrong though!) that it clashes with the time that the baton goes through the town. I would like to take my little one along to the sports at Millbank but we also want to watch some of the baton barers go through the town. Would be a shame if these two events clashed, I hope my informer is wrong!

Also does anyone know the actual route the baton will be going through the town?

Thanks for any information

The only information that I could find is that the Baton will be in Thurso on Wednesday 9th July and in John O'Groats & Wick on the 11th July.

So if you miss the Baton in Thurso perhaps you could see it in John O'Groats or Wick.

Thank you for your replies. Yes we could go to Wick to see it but the people we wish to see carrying it are carrying it in Thurso.

It is due to be at Millbank at 2.30pm and then over at the caravan park at 3.30pm, I believe.

Thanks but I have read that page already and it does not state what time the Sports hub is having their come and try which is what my question was.

I don't have specific details but from around lunch time there are supposed to be events; I think there is a youth judo group or something first (maybe from late morning). It will all only run until baton has been and gone so short.
