Is there anyone out there who knows about about edible species of seaweed and where to find same?

Dilts!

Reddish seaweed. Found in small patches on the rocks everywhere.

Here's a link with a pic. They're big on it in Ireland.

All British seaweed is edible so I have read.

I dont know about that.
I wouldnt chance scoffing seaweed retrieved from the rocks at Dounreay.
