Accused got hot under the collar over cooking fish
A DISAGREEMENT over whether fish had been properly cooked sparked a domestic disturbance, Wick Sheriff Court heard today.
Emotions ran high and Johnston Heath began to shout and swear at his partner Venessa Constance.
The incident occurred at their home at 19 Kennedy Terrace, Wick, on April, 7. Ms Constance called the police and Heath was arrested.
Heath,48, admitted threatening or abusive behaviour and a record. Sentence was deferred for a background report.
David Barclay, prosecuting said that the couple had planned to marry shortly after the incident but as it had been an on-off relationship it was not known whether or not they had tied the knot.
Sheriff Andrew Berry, who observed that Heath was currently subject to a community payback order and an unexpired part of a prison sentence on an unrelated crime.
Heath was remanded in custody and will reappear for sentence on May 16.
