I don't know which bands are Thurso/Wick based.
If it was advertised on the main General forum others could vote but . . . how can we know who to vote for?
Maybe a link to their sites (if possible)
Or could the Org put music files on their server for us to listen to a sample of work?

Either way, I think that, as far as I can work out, it is mainly members of the bands mentioned that are replying to these threads so the results are going to be pretty conclusive.

It's not that we're unhappy - it's just that we don't necessarily know who to vote for (although I've already voted. Hmm)

Also, I was trying to be constructive with the listen-online scheme. It could only help to assist in your voting - and would help advertise your concert too!

i dont know what a lot of these bands sound like either most ask me for the gig i hear good things about them and hire them so to speak. some i know from gigs.

I would say if common sense prevails, if you don't now who to vote for then maybe it is best not to.

I have no idea where most of the bands are from, I am basing my vote on the music that the bands have online, if the Wick bands have their music online then tell them to get in and post a link.

Manson Grant would be a great headliner, I am related to him through marriage, I could give him a nudge if you want him in, he might do it you never know :D
