anyone know someone local that Is good at painting name and number on small boat.

Alec Paterson the painter used to do that sort of thing. Maybe I'm living in the past!

Any of the painter/decorators could put you onto a signwriter.

If the hull is smooth like fibreglass then you can buy stick-on letters in all sorts of fonts. Get them online and you could save yourself some money.
