I will look for the Desdemona but what I turned up regarding the Lochranza Castle she was registered in Wick in 1902, its official ship number is 73463. She weighed 74.77 tons and was owned by Hugh Sinclair, David Sinclair and Donald Budge, all from Thurso.

She was built by Barclay, Roberston & Co in Ardrossan in 1876. She had two masts and also an auxiliary motor
