Advice on what to plant on a steep slope

Hi, looking for some advice on what I could plant on a slope that is too steep to mow?? Would like something that will be evergreen but not grow to high and that will spread, it is quite a big area! Thanks, any advice appreciated.

Heather is good or creeping juniper
