George Mckenzie b. c1807 Helen Mcdermid b. c1812

Hello all I am having difficulty tracing this couple and wondered if somebody would be able to advise on my next steps.
As far as I know this couple had 8 children, one of whom was Ann McKenzie my great (x2) grandmother. On Ann's marriage certificate in 1873 her parents are listed as George MacKenzie and Helen McDermid, there is not the usual entry of Helen McKenzie MS McDermid. On Ann's death certificate her father is not listed at all. The death informant was Ann's Son and I would have expected him to know his grandfather's name. I cannot find any marriage record for George and Helen nor have I found any death certificates, according to Ann's marriage certificate her parents were alive in 1873.

Christian does not belong here, I have her on the 1841 and 1851 census returns in Latheron, father George a fisherman mother Helen.

I don't think Roderick belongs in there either.

Thanks for that, I wondered about these also since they were missing from the 1851 census for the family but it was possible that beingthe eldest children that they had left home. One part of the puzzle resolved, now for the rest.
