Accused alleged to have attacked fellow lodger three times

A WICK store worker is facing charges of attacking a fellow lodger at a local guest house.
Dennis Liversedge pleaded not guilty to a total of five counts when he appeared from custody at the town's sheriff court, on Friday. He was refused bail and will remain in prison until his trial next month.
The charges centre mainly on the Harbour Guest House, in Rose Street, Wick. It is alleged that while staying there, Liversedge assaulted the woman on three occasions, twice throwing her onto a bed and grabbing her by the neck, choking her and on the third occasion, repeatedly punching her head.
Liversedge, 21 is also denies assaulting a male guest, and threatening and abusive behaviour at Wick police station and kicking the back of a police vehicle. The charges, which include a bail aggravation, are said to have occurred between December 18 and 30, last year.
David Barclay, prosecuting, registered his opposition to Liversedge, of Room 7 Harbour Guest, House, Rose Street, Wick, being granted bail because of "the seriousness of the charges."
Honorary Sheriff Jean MacLennan agreed and remanded the accuse in custody pending his trial on February 6.
